Despite being surrounded by some of the world’s most biodiverse waters, young Maldivians, are facing barriers to accessing the ocean and OPPORTUNITIES in ShARK SCIENCE.
Our Co-Founder Hamna is the only female shark guide and female dive instructor from the island of Fuvahmulah. She overcame tremendous challenges on her journey and is passionate about creating opportunities for emerging Maldivian researchers and conservationists.
We are fundraising for a scholarship scheme in partnership with local and international collaborators to provide educational opportunities and research placements for young shark advocates. We need your help to raise 8000 USD and change lives by creating opportunities to build tangible skillsets, not just datasets.
